Headsets?
Right so looking to invest in a new headset.

Aint got hundreds of pounds to spend though haha!

I know very little of what makes a good headset as i tend to just pick one up and run with it, so any advice would be good.

Looking at these ones justnow.

RE: Headsets?
what do you want to do with it? a complete list would be nice

Also you probably want to go for the biggest possible drivers (speakers) somewhere in the 40-50mm range
the turtle beach DPX11 looks to be good, it has the mixer for the digital audio from optical sources

RE: Headsets?
the dss2 is the dolby digital converter, basically you use the optical out on the ps4 and plug that into the dss2. It then converts the 5.1 audio to stereo using positional audio, so things still sound like they are behind you etc. It what nic and myself uses (ours is made by astro). The dss2 will also mix the comms in over the top of the game sounds/music.

I would still go for the kit with the dss2 in. The one you linked to on turtle beach site is without the dss2 unit and is just a straight stereo headset without positional audio.

RE: Headsets?
just a straight stereo headset with built in mic and 40mm drivers, still think the turtle beach is the better option but it's your money
