there is actually, minimal (though not an absence of) AC in R-Type, but it was just a far superior conversion that the C64 version. However, the C64 version is still a good game. But they changed the Bydo Dreadnought level completely - poor show, poor show...

Many other games (rewind)...

A few other games were better on the Speccy:

The Race (Players game which was completely changed in both versions),

Super Stuntman - far better on Speccy.

Many more, Spanky and I will have to have a wrestle to see which wins. Oh yeah - I forgot - C64 always wins.

there was actually programs that took advantage of that to make pretty patterns, we even had one of those silver paper printers, that burnt the paper (suppose its the forerunner of what receipt paper is now), can still remember the smell, how weird is that.

my mate had the thermal printer for his speccy, i rememebr him having an expansion bay that took cartridges, he had Jetpak for it Big Grin

jetpac is available on xbla, needless to say, I own it.

I had a microdrive, tiny tape cartridges that loaded games in seconds.
